About us
The Bristol Cathedral School Choral Society began in 1972 as the Parents' Choir. Concerts were then mainly with the school choir, which gave the boys (no girls in those days!) the unforgettable experience of performing in works needing a large choir and orchestra.
Over the years the society has grown to include members with no direct connection with the school, and we are always keen to welcome new singers. Links with the school are strong. Instrumentalists from its several orchestras regularly play for our concerts, and school singers swell our ranks.
Supporting the school's music includes the Choral Society singing at the Christmas Carol Service and the annual Commemoration Service in the Cathedral.
If you think you would like to join us, come to a rehearsal and see if it is something that you would enjoy.

Rehearsals
We are enthusiastic singers of all ages who meet in the Choir School on Wednesday evenings during school term. No audition is required and no previous choral experience necessary, although you will find it helpful if you can read music.
Anyone who enjoys singing, and is prepared to make the commitment to attend regularly, is welcome.
Rehearsal times are 7:30 - 9:00 on Wednesday evenings during school terms - in Bristol Cathedral Choir School.
Some parking is usually available in the school car park.
Music
This can be bought, or hired for a nominal sum.
